State Of Texas Recognizes The Latin Breed

MARCH 17, 2011 - Austin, TX.  On a full moon lit evening at the Emma Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Art Center in Austin, Texas, the PAN AMERICANA FESTIVAL was launched with the diverse sound of THE LATIN BREED.
 
With a crowd estimated at 4,000, The Latin Breed played hit after hit, catering to the crowd's momentum. Opening for AB Quintanilla III and the Kumbia All-Stars, THE LATIN BREED experienced first hand the spirit of  Tejanos in Austin.

On October 9, 2010 the Honorable Senator Mario Gallegos from Houston recognized the Latin Breed's 40th Anniversary at the 31st Annual Festival Chicano in Houston, Texas.

Senate Proclamation No. 1165 was presented before a an estimated crowd of over 11, 000 Tejano music lovers. Senator Gallegos, a long time Tejano music advocate, expressed his esteem for the many years of Tejano classic hits and endurance of taking to the road year after year since 1969 when THE LATIN BREED was founded.

Other celebrities on hand contributed to THE LATIN BREED performance including lead vocalist for La Mafia, Oscar de la Rosa. The crowd volume went through the roof of the Miller Outdoor Theater as Oscar came onto center stage. Oscar joined Adalberto in a long time favorite "El Tejano Enamorado".

On a rare night of legendary music, and spectacular musicianship, THE LATIN BREED claimed one more victory from their long time faithful followers. The Chicano Festival is continues it tradition with authenticity and true tradition — ¡VIVA Daniel Bustamente - founder!
